چکیده

In this study, the oxidation behavior of AlCoCrFeNi2.1 eutectic high entropy alloy (EHEA) with/without Y doping at 1000 °C and 1100 was reported. The minor is crucial to improving Al2O3 scale adhesion achieving its durability temperatures. rates Y-doped EHEA are comparable even lower compared with conventional Al2O3-forming NiCoCrAlY/CoNiCrAlY alloys. superior resistance highly stable lamellar structure after high-temperature make show a tremendous potential in application.

Synthesis of Ytterbium Tungstate with Excellent Pseudocapacitive Behavior and a High Cycling Stability Material for Supercapacitors

Nanoparticles of ytterbium tungstate prepared through the direct addition of an Yb3+ solution to a tungstate solution, were computed through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). Further the supercapacitive characteristics of the nanoparticles, as a potential material for constructing electrodes, were eval...

Thermal stability of AlCoCrCuFeNi high entropy alloy thin films

High entropy alloys (HEAs), containing five to thirteen metallic elements, with a concentration in the range of 5 to 35 % for each element, exhibit very interesting properties (mechanical, tribological, formability, magnetism...). Their high mixing entropy promotes the formation of simple solid solutions with amorphous or nanocrystallized structure. Bulk pieces of these alloys are known to be s...

The Different Roles of Entropy and Solubility in High Entropy Alloy Stability.

Multiprincipal element high entropy alloys stabilized as a single alloy phase represent a new material system with promising properties, such as high corrosion and creep resistance, sluggish diffusion, and high temperature tensile strength. However, the mechanism of stabilization to form single phase alloys is controversial. Early studies hypothesized that a large entropy of mixing was responsi...

Robust zero resistance in a superconducting high-entropy alloy at pressures up to 190 GPa

We report the observation of extraordinarily robust zero-resistance superconductivity in the pressurized (TaNb)0.67(HfZrTi)0.33 high-entropy alloy--a material with a body-centered-cubic crystal structure made from five randomly distributed transition-metal elements. The transition to superconductivity (TC ) increases from an initial temperature of 7.7 K at ambient pressure to 10 K at ∼60 GPa, a...

Hardening and thermal stability of a nanocrystalline CoCrFeNiMnTi0.1 high-entropy alloy processed by high- pressure torsion

A CoCrFeNiMnTi0.1 high-entropy alloy (HEA) was subjected to high-pressure torsion (HPT) processing under 6.0 GPa pressure up to 10 turns. XRD results reveal that the initial and HPT-processed microstructures consist of a single fcc phase and there is no evidence for creating a new phase and the occurrence of a phase transformation during HPT processing. It is shown that there is a gradual evolu...
